    - Hill climbing and sprinting are very popular forms of clubman’s motorsport in Britain, and with good reason. Events are held on private land or MOD airfields, and mainly on sealed or asphalt surfaces.

    - The club promotes two weekend Autocross events each year, both rounds of the ASWMC Autocross Championship, contributing to the discipline’s strong regional revival in recent years.

    - Tests of both reliability and ruggedness on difficult terrain – are famous for their demanding combination of long-distance sections between tests and (usually) steep hilly sections on muddy, rocky and slippery tracks or lanes.
